Terms and Conditions
The ground rules for using this website and for working with Nest Fix Hub. Written to be readable — if anything here is unclear, please ask us.
Acceptance of These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Nest Fix Hub website and the services we provide. By browsing this website, submitting an enquiry or engaging us for work, you agree to these terms.
Where we have signed a separate written agreement or proposal with you, that document takes priority over these terms for the work it covers.
Services We Provide
Nest Fix Hub provides home renovation and improvement services, including interior decor, exterior and garden renovation, home security, fire safety, home loan and warranty guidance, roofing upgrades, solar upgrades, window replacements, flooring upgrades and bathroom remodeling.
We may work with specialist partners on particular tasks, such as electrical, plumbing or roofing work. We remain your point of contact for the project as a whole.
Quotes, Estimates and Proposals
Quotes and estimates are prepared from the information available at the time, including our site visit, measurements and the scope we discuss with you. They remain valid for the period stated in the document.
Conditions that are hidden, inaccessible or discovered later — such as concealed damage, non-standard construction or unexpected material shortages — may require a revision. If that happens, we explain the reason, provide a revised figure and wait for your written approval before continuing.
Estimates described as indicative are guidance only and are not a fixed price.
Scheduling, Site Access and Working Conditions
We agree start dates and working hours with you in advance. Weather, supplier lead times and unforeseen conditions can change schedules; when they do, we tell you promptly and propose new dates.
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the work area, along with water and power where required, and to secure pets and valuables during working hours.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the property, existing work and any known issues such as leaks, mould or previous repairs.
- Obtain any consent required from landlords, co-owners, insurers or neighbours.
- Make decisions and selections promptly so that schedules and material orders are not delayed.
- Keep children, pets and visitors clear of active work areas for their safety.
Materials, Finishes and Substitutions
Materials are specified in your proposal. Colours and finishes are subject to natural variation between batches, and photographs or samples are indicative rather than exact.
If a specified product becomes unavailable, we will offer a comparable alternative for your approval before proceeding. Where you supply your own materials, responsibility for their suitability, delivery and condition rests with you.
Permits, Codes and Compliance
Work is carried out in line with applicable building codes and manufacturer instructions. Where a permit or inspection is required, we will advise you and can help with the paperwork; permit costs and any inspection fees are additional unless your proposal states otherwise.
Changes made by others to work we have completed may affect compliance and warranty coverage.
Payments and Invoicing
Payment terms, deposit arrangements and stage payments are set out in your written agreement. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.
Where a payment is overdue, we may pause work until the account is brought up to date. Late payment charges, if any, are those described in your agreement.
Changes to the Agreed Scope
You are welcome to adjust the scope as work progresses. Changes are documented, may affect cost and schedule, and are carried out once both parties have approved the revision in writing. Verbal requests will be confirmed in writing before we act on them.
Cancellations and Pausing Work
You may cancel or pause a project by letting us know in writing. Where materials have been ordered or specialist time has been reserved, reasonable costs already committed may be payable.
We may suspend or end work if a safe working environment cannot be maintained, if agreed payments are not made, or if we are asked to carry out work that would breach a code or manufacturer requirement.
Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind our craft. Workmanship warranty periods are stated in your written agreement and cover installation faults that arise from our work.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, neglect of recommended maintenance, movement or settling outside normal expectations, or work altered by others.
Manufacturer Warranties and Third-Party Products
Many products we install — roofing materials, solar equipment, windows, flooring and fixtures — carry manufacturer warranties. We help you register them and provide copies of the relevant documentation.
Claims under those warranties are handled by the manufacturer under their terms. We will assist you with the process where we reasonably can.
Limitation of Liability
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a project is limited to the value of the work carried out under the relevant agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of rent, profit or opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Property Damage and Insurance
We take great care when working in and around your home, and we carry insurance for the projects we undertake. If something is accidentally damaged, tell us right away so that we can assess, repair or resolve it quickly.
Pre-existing conditions, such as aged pipework, brittle tiles or hidden rot, may be revealed once surfaces are opened. Where repairs are required, we will discuss the options with you before proceeding.
Intellectual Property
Designs, drawings, proposals and written content we create for your project remain our intellectual property until paid for in full, after which you may use them for your property. Website text, photographs and branding belong to Nest Fix Hub and may not be reused commercially without permission.
Website Use and Acceptable Conduct
- Use this website lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt, scrape or misuse it.
- Do not submit false enquiries, impersonate another person or upload harmful content.
- Information on the site, including blog articles, is general guidance and is not a substitute for a site-specific professional assessment.
Third-Party Links and Resources
We may link to manufacturer sites, financing resources or other materials for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which we operate. If a concern arises, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly through a conversation. If a dispute cannot be settled that way, it will be handled through the appropriate courts or dispute process in that jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and the version in force when your agreement was signed applies to that project.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply in full.
